Case Three : Inoperable Ca - Stomach with transperitoneal dissemination

the ascites, peritoneal nodules, mesenteric nodules and abnormal circumferential wall thickening at the antral and pyloric regions ofthe stomach. Also diffuse abnormal wall thickening of the small and large bowel loops is seen with clumping and intermittent dilatations of the small bowel loops. Bilateral hydronephrosis is

also seen which has CT scan dated 18.12.2006

As compared to the earlier CT study dated 22.11.06, there is further marked increase in also progressed as compared to the earlier study.

LMNT treatment was given between 19-12-2006 to 05/01/2007  by the patient’s wife

solely to check the cancerous proliferation and not for the other problems.

CT scan dated 06.01.2007

As compared to the earlier CT study dated 18.12.2006, there is no significant interval change in the ascites, peritoneal nodules, mesenteric nodules and abnormal circumferential wall thickening of the antral and pyloric regions of the stomach.

Bilateral hydronephrosis is also unchanged,.however,  the small bowel obstruction seen in the earlier scan has resolved with presently oral contrast reaching the colon in optimum transit time.

However, small bowel loop clumping and abnormal wall thickening persists.

Remarks:

Prior to LMNT treatment, there was marked increase in the level of ascites, nodules etc over one month, even tho the patient was on regular medication; but with LMNT treatment there has been no significant interval change, over a period of three weeks.    Perhaps this may be interpreted that the cancerous tendency has been arrested albeit temporarily.
