Case VIII : Avascular Necrosis

Police sub-inspector, male, 50 years 

MRI dated 16.11.1999 – Class A Avascular necrosis (Mitchell’s classification) involving the head of right femur and Class B avascular necrosis involving the head of the head of the left femur.

Radio Isotope Bone Scan dated 16.4.2003 –

findings compatible with advanced AVN of right femoral head.

LMNT treatment from 29.03.2004 till 11.5.2005

X Ray Report dated 4.2.2005 reads :

 E/o. undisplaced fracture of right femoral neck is noted; Bone density appears normal. No abnormal soft tissue calcification is seen.  Both S.I. joints are normal.”
