Throat (Operated for tumour)
|
Pain only on that side of neck which was operated upon.

Severe pain on right cheek and right side of face.

Pain on right cheek is much reduced.

Pain on right cheek has almost vanished, but, returned last evening, due to domestic tension. She feels that it was because as she did not take treatment for a few days, due to other pressing work. Yet, the intensity was much much reduced.

Neck pain on and off, especially on right side.

Even opening the mouth is extremely painful. Talking is impossible. She says that pain used to increase with tension.

Constant back pain

Back pain now comes only occasionally, when she is under stress. But its intensity is very much less, just a dull throbbing pain

General
|
Anger was so much because of the pain – that she would throw anything that was within hands’ reach at whosoever dared to oppose her.

Feels energetic and full of life.

She felt that anger is much reduced. She can tolerate disobedience from her children very well. Her daughter said that she has never seen her mother so cheerful over the past week.

Feels body weight has increased over the past few weeks.

Slight breathlessness while climbing stairs. Did not notice it earlier.

Cannot eat solids.

Cannot lie flat on bed. Requires 2 pillows under head for comfortable sleeping.

Now she has less difficulty in lying flat on the bed. 2 pillows are still necessary.

Now she can lie flat on bed with one pillow.

Asthmatic since 11 years, but well under control. Almost eradicated by a course of ayurvedic treatment taken for 6 months. Remission last year due to stress and tension. Now takes PUF occasionally as and when necessary. Yesterday there was some tension in the house; so she took PUF once.

No PUF taken since she started LMNT treatment. However she feels it may be because there was no tension.

Fingers of palm very flexible – almost vertical; angle of 90° with wrist.
Palms upturned & placed flat on table : fingers of left hand slightly curve upwards, indicating greater flexibility.

Face is pulled to right side, giving a lop-sided look.

Face is not pulled to the right side conspicuously. One has to look hard to notice a slight drooping of the face when she speaks. Otherwise she looks almost normal.

Mouth
|
Cannot open the mouth even by about ½".

Can open the mouth by about 1".

Now she can open the mouth maximum ( about 2½" ).

Speech
|
Cannot articulate words properly. Speech is slurred and unclear. We have to make her to repeat the same word several times before we can understand what she wants to say.

Now we can understand what she speaks, without much difficulty, sometimes one repetition may be needed.
|
Speech is excellent. Even strangers can follow what she speaks easily and completely.

Assessement : Hereditary tendency for obesity. Diet change and exercise is a must.
Moreover she has started eating well. Hence the increase in weight plus breathlessness on exertion.

Suggestions / Advice
|
To eat solids only when hungry; otherwise take plenty of fruits and vegetables.
To write down her feelings daily in a diary in any language of her choice.
To take (3) Liv at least 4 – 6 times a day, either by herself or with the help of her daughter.

Treatment to be given

|
History :
Some doctors felt that her pains could be due to cervical spondylitis. So she was given electric shock treatment for 10 days at KG Medical center. However, the pain returned after 2-3 months.
Root canal operation done 3 years ago. But one root got damaged and post operatively she had severe ear pain and pain on entire right side of the face. Then they removed the tooth after cutting the bone, she said. Since then she had pain continuously, often radiating to hand and fingers.
Plan : Give (1) Gal (4) Liv (8) Thymus + Chest for a few more days to reduce pain further. Later, give 'Angina treatment' till normalcy.
Low cholesterol diet with plenty of vegetables.
Yoga, pranayama and exercises for weight reduction.

Before treatment :
SUBJECTIVE : For past 20 yrs hands and legs used to become white during the cold season. Similarly parts of the body also used to become white. Then it becomes pink.
Cannot touch cold water whether it is summer or winter.
This happened just after delivery of her 2nd daughter. Normal delivery at home.
First approached Bowring & Lady Curzon Hospital, Bangalore.
Cervical sympathetectomy done. But no relief from pain or tingling in right hand.
Next, admitted to St. John's hospital. Diagnosed as Reynold's disease.
Operation done - Not much relief.
M/c 30 days - 4 to 5 days Motions, digestion OK. Hunger and sleep OK.
Always feeling too much cold and numbness in the whole body most of the day.
Has pain in whole body all the time. Cramps in legs.
No problem even while doing heavy work all the day; but on enquiry, confessed that she has breathlessness on climbing stairs. She feels that her right hand pulse is feeble and left hand pulse is strong.
Her daughter, who stays in a hostel, said:
She scolds us constantly for every small thing. Always tensed up. Too angry at all times.
OBJECTIVE : When she first came to NT clinic on 9.11, she had 3 shawls on.
Body constantly shivering. Hb 7.0 on 9.11.04; Triglycerides 132 mg/dl.
After 14 sittings – on 14.12.04 :
SUBJECTIVE : Pain in whole body, back pain and neck pain considerably reduced.
OBJECTIVE : Hb 8.0
After 23 sittings – on 28.12.04 :
SUBJECTIVE : She has no back pain or neck pain now.
Periods OK. Motions, digestion OK. Hunger and sleep OK.
Still complains of: Pains between elbow to wrist on right hand.
OBJECTIVE : Mu°++, B12+, FA+
No shivering in body. Did not require even one shawl today although it is mid winter !
The first thing noticed by her daughter who came from hostel is that she is very calm; does not scold them. Does not get tensed up as earlier.
Breathlessness after climbing stairs is slightly reduced.

Anusuyamma age 28 yrs. 65kg.
SUBJECTIVE :
Periods irregular since 5 years. Frequency 60-90 days/ 3-4 days with heavy bleeding plus clots in menses. FP operation done.
Feeling of heat in left side of body. Pain in legs, more on left leg.
Unable to sleep at night. Poor /hazy vision in left eye.
Pinching pain in back. Tingling sensation all over the body.
White discharge and itching around vagina.
Severe back pain and body pain. Swelling in left breast + pus from nipple.
White fluid oozes on pressing. No hunger. Cold feeling. Constipation.
OBJECTIVE :
Feeling of fear and apprehension all the time. Easily prone to bursts of anger.
Multiple nodules and knots all over the body. Hardness in lymph nodes around axilla and groins. Habit of tobacco since 20 years. Severely depressed.
Plan :
Suggested that she should avoid tobacco.
After only 9 sittings : LMP 30/11. NO CLOTS, NO PAINS
SUBJECTIVE :
Back pain and left side pain is much less.
Itching and discharge from vagina is negligible. Left side breast pain reduced.
OBJECTIVE :
Slightly depressed because she had to give up tobacco. But otherwise she is much more cheerful.
Plan :
Suggested that she may have tobacco once a day or when absolutely essential
After treatment 15 sittings : On 28.12.04
SUBJECTIVE :
Hunger improved. Tobacco only once nowadays. Left eye vision normal.
No pus from nipple. No back pain or body pain now.
Breathlessness while climbing steps
OBJECTIVE :
Weight. 55 kg.
Radiant, beaming face.
Swelling in breast almost the size of a pea.
Knots all over the body have much reduced. Many have vanished.
Hardness in lymph nodes around axilla and groins much reduced.
